Shelly Gainsley has spent her career working closely with people, across sales, membership, operations, and administration, before finding her footing in human resources and never looking back.
That cross-functional background isn't incidental. It's what makes her effective. Shelly understands how organizations actually work, not just the HR layer of them. She knows what it feels like to be on a team, to navigate a difficult manager, to wonder if the people at the top actually see you. That experience shapes how she shows up for every client.
Over the past decade, she has worked as an HR professional, consultant, coach, and thought partner for small businesses and nonprofits across Colorado, including building HR infrastructure from the ground up at organizations navigating real growth.
She founded HR Haus to make that kind of support accessible to the businesses that need it most and can rarely justify a full-time hire to get it.
How She's Wired
Some people are drawn to human resources for the systems. Shelly is drawn to it for the people.
Her strongest instincts, developed and tested across years of practice, run toward developing others, building connection, and finding the path forward that works for everyone in the room. She leads with empathy and lands on harmony, but she's not conflict-averse. She's conflict-capable, which is a different thing entirely.
Her values are straightforward: family, intention, integrity. They show up in how she runs her business, how she treats clients, and how she approaches the hard conversations that are part of this work.
